His FIRST...
Many FIRST in this trip for Sean:
- FIRST Vacation
- FIRST Hotel Stay
- FIRST experience in a cold & cool weather
- FIRST time visit to Strawberry farm
- FIRST ride on a wining road until he can't cope and vomited in the car
He wasn't really that interested to plug the strawberry. When I introduce him about strawberry plugging, he pulled out the whole stem (which is wrong way) instead of the stem. Mati, I let him plug 2 times and he didn't get the idea, i asked to run around instead, which he is more delighted to do so.
Everyone is wearing slipper to walk around on the apartment we stayed as the floor is cold. This fella refused to wear and insisted to walk bare footed. As it's a wooden flooring, putting a socks on him will just make it too slippery for him to walk. So I tutup mata, let it be since he can cope!
He didn't really understand vacation but just know he is 'outside kai kai'! When I asked him about the trip, he looked blur! LOL
Well well, it was the experience that we wanted him to go through. Next family trip is coming up in few weeks time. Let's see if we see improvement from him!

As Cool As Ever
I took this photo of Sean during our family trip to Cameron.
He is always a cool boy, on his characters and look. It's so difficult to get him to pose for me and take a 'decent' photo! He will run and do silly face to cover up himself.
Shy, I guess. :-)
He is so grown up in this photo. Sean is in the "I want to do myself" phase now. Everything also "myself myself', which is good as he is moving into more independent. The downside of it, a lot of mess to clean after the 'myself activities"!
I still like to hug and cuddle him like a baby even he is heavy in actual size (~18kg!)

At 2.5 Years Old...
For my record keeping - Sean is 18.2kg and 95cm tall. He is consider big size at his age. So no surprise he is the biggest size in his class!
If you look carefully on this picture, he was actually lifting up the handle of the bike. He loves this stunt, in which we were clueless how and where did he picked this up. In Hokkien, it's called "gia chiah tao"! because of this, I have named him as future/potential Superbike racing biker. I hope it's not illegal one that I will see him pushing his bike on the road as punishment by police!
Is this part of boy growing phase? Or it's just my boy?? Hmm...I wonder.

The "Sotong" Look...
Sean looked SO blur in this photo. Photo not taken nicely but I like the expression and the moment.
Other than their individual interest on the girlish and boy stuff, I tried to arrange things together for simply few reasons:
1) Save my time --> 1 time prepare for both
2) Teach the kids to share things
3) The sister can play the influence role for Sean to follow and learn
So the fastest and easiest is wall painting! Kids like it, I like it too becoz it's easy to prepare and clean up. If I happen to go wet market in the morning, I will grab them lotus root, potato and ladies fingers as additional stamping tool for them. Sean doesn't appreciate this for now. He prefers brush and his own fingers!
Whatever, as long as he enjoys what he is doing, I am absolutely fine with it.
Note: Sean is wearing a hand-down art apron from his sister. That's why it's pink in color. :-)

"Bai Ker"
This was how Sean first pronounced Bicycle - Bai Ker! He is able to pronounce correctly now but I just want to pen this down for future reading/recording purposes.
He loves to cycle. Everyday without fail, he would go grab his bike and "cycle" in the living room the first thing he entered into the house. Yup, he 'cycles' the Flintstones way. So literally, he is not cycling but "running" on the bike. Real fast, I tell you.

In the Phase of BALL...
Extreme
Extreme!
Somehow I love this pants very much. It was a hand-down from Ching Ern. It makes kids look so adorable with this pants, especially with a diaper on!! :-)
It was a beautiful Sunday morning that I took the kids to the playground near our neighbourhood. Kids are easy to please, a playground enough to make them happy.
Kids are my 'reminder' to keep life simple and happy!

When I See His Eyes...
I saw myself!
From outlook, Sean resembles of his dad. No one will have doubt about their relationship because it was SO SO SO obvious that they look SO SO SO alike!! LOL
From character perspective, he is so me! Stubborn, persistent and determine. He is like a reflection of me! :-(
So now, it's really "hard bang hard" (in Cantonese). Only me can know what and why he is doing and how to handle him!

Sausage Boy
He loves sausages!! It is like his FAVOURITE food!! Oh well, I don't give it to him often because it's processed food and thus, not healthy.
I can't deny when it comes to "fast and easy' food preparation, sausage is always on the top few list. :-) Well, easy for mummy, kids love it! So win win, why not...
Whenever we go picnic, sausage is one of the 'must have' request food from kids (mostly from Ching Ern).
Occasionally 'tutup mata', ok lah! *grin*

Play School
Sean started school on 30th May. Weird day you may say but it was a planned date.
It was a 2 weeks government school break and thus, less students at the play school which allow the teachers to pay attention to Sean. In additional, Ern was in the same school building during school holidays.
Little boy has no problem attending school because he has been seeing his sister goes to school since young. He wave good bye to me and glue to the TV prior the session began.
With Ern around, I am quite comfortable because I know Ern can 'take care' of him by telling teachers what's happening.
As I expected, things went smooth. When I picked both kids up from the school, teacher mentioned no separation anxiety from Sean but he did cried. Cried because he bullied his Che Che and get scolded by the teacher!!! LOL
For the next few days, no tears from him too! Easy in handling Sean in school.
On 2nd week, we started removing his diaper to school. I brought extra shorts pants for him to change. He did missed a few times but after the 4th day, he was almost 80% trained.
Easy for me, I have to say.

Cry Baby
Yup, he knew very well this is his "secret weapon' to get our attention. He will "whine till cry' in getting the things he wanted.
We are in the stage of 'ignoring' him when he is being unreasonable. The 'elderly' members at home were 'heart ache" to see their grandson cry so badly but thank goodness they understand this is for his good. Will see how long Sean takes to overcome this. :-)
Good luck - to his mummy!

Favourite Pose
Finger Painting
It was his FIRST experience in finger painting. He is hooked with it!. He played with the paint more than coloring the book. Well, that was the whole intend of introducing different texture for him as part of sensorial development.
He is a tough and rough cookie. At times, when he accidentally bang us, we (adults) can feel the impact. He is consider a big size for his age. At 2.4 years old, he weights at 16.9kg and 95cm tall. So many may perceive he is hitting on us in purpose rather than an accident. Well, of coz there are times he did it on purpose. I discovered he is in the phase of 'attention seeking".
The most 'kesian' victim suffering from this is his sis, Ern. We have tried the 'hard' way, ie via punishing and scolding. It doesn't seem to work effectively. So now, I am trying to "soft" way via cuddling and reassurance, to tell him not to repeat. Will see how it turns out!

Sean Turned 2!!
It is as if I have dropped off the face of the planet and lost in the universe! LOL This is the trouble being a blogger. Once the writing habit is out, it is VERY HARD to blog and get started again! Honestly, I have been busy at work (but heck, which mother is free!!) but again, this isn't an excuse! Blame it on me, kids!
Anyway, my little boy turned 2 on February 16th. The family members + nanny's family had a good dinner at our usual 'birthday restaurant'. Sean has improved tremendously on his speech in which, he is 'talking' to us now. Although the pronunciation is not 100% accurate, he can clearly articulate what he wants. So that make things easy for us to understand his needs.
He has lost all the baby fat on his face & body as he grows. He is starting to lost some of the 'baby smell' too :-( But that doesn't stop me from cuddling and smell on his neck and face! :)
He is in the phase of car! This is also his 'soother' whenever he holds them. So you can imagine the 'car collection' begins! hohoho...
Mummy's boy, still he is! He looks for me almost every moment unless he gets to distracted or asleep. At times, I have to let him cry for me to get my things done. Sorry, boy! Paul the Octopus is dead and don't treat mummy has his 'successor' because I can never have 8 hands!!

Expressing Himself
Sean has started to "speak" to us. At least, he is able to express himself more via words. Though the pronunciation is not 100% accurate, we can catch and understand what he says...well, only his care takers will know what he says. Things that how he expressed himself:
- Mummy, come (and) go (watch) TV.
- Mummy, see Pololo (the penguin cartoon Pororo)
- See Mouze ( his version of watch Mickey Mouse)
- Up tairs (Upstairs)
- bokey (monkey)
- Mummy, go!! (when we stop and wait for traffic light to turn green)
- Want Blehkeh (want blanket, he needs blanket in order to sleep)
He is getting ready for potty trained. He is able to tell us (at times) that he wants to pee. Instead of saying "shee shee", he said "ng ng" and press on his bi*die. So we have quickly put him on potty.
I have been cuddling him a lot because I know he will grow up soon.
