In the month of January...

I took the kids to Youth Park on 2 Sundays in the month of January.

The first time when Sean was introduced to the see-saw, I think he fell in love with it immediately. He sat on it as many times as his Che Che, without any complaint at all!

On the 2nd time when we placed him on a see-saw, he automatically knew he needs to place both his hands on the bar. When we brought him to the swing, he knew he needs to hold the seat tightly.

Thrust me, the boy is so happy despite it was his usual morning nap time! This boy 'stayed up' to play! When we were back in the car, he slept through the journey from the park to home!

The things he says...

"Mum Mum" = Mummy OR eat OR want something
" Pah Pah" = Daddy
"Jeh Jeh" = His sister
'Kah kah" = our part time domestic maid
"Eh Eh" = When he is happy

My little boy is learning to 'talk' in his world of language...

Butt Down

Today marks another growth milestone for Sean. He is able to do the 'butt down" without us reminding him anymore.

I started the 'butt down" teaching on the day when he started to do the 'aeroplane fly down' stunt from our bed to his Che Che's mattress (in which it was placed just next to our bed).

Whenever we placed him freely on our bed (in which we knew he would love to 'fly down' to his Che Che's bed), we will need to constantly remind him about 'butt down' by turning his body with his leg down to the mattress first.

Half way through the 'training', he sort of discovered the trick of 'testing water'. If he knows the surface that he intend to 'fly down' is soft (like mattress), he will terus 'fly down' and throw us a devil's grin, as in celebrating his victory! If he can't touch the surface, then he will sit up at the edge of the bed (dangerous, of coz!) and waiting for us to catch him from falling! Smart boy, isn't it!!!

Now that he knows the 'butt down', he still does the 'fly down' stunt! For fun, I am sure!

11 Months

Time flies, i have less than 1 month to celebrate Sean's BIG day!

At 11 months:

Vital Stats:
Didn't get to check as his next appointment with PD is only due when he turns 1.

Diet:
- Milk: 3x per day (2 formula & 1 EBM)
- Meal: porridge (lunch) + cereal/fruit puree (dinner)
- Snack: fruit (anything that is soft)& baby biscuit
- We have seen much improvement in drinking water. Maybe due to our hot weather lately. but definitely need more improvement on that.

Development:

- I have weaned him off from my breast on 9th January 2010 after he was able to take 1 full bottle of formula. It was hard for him first few nights during night time as he would still 'look' (placed his head on my breast) but after then, smooth sailing. So, I am on my way of 'wong fei hong sau tong' in breastfeeding. Based on the current EBM stock, it can easily last till he turns 1yo.

- When he is under my care (ie over the weekend), I made fruit puree to him instead of cereal for his dinner. I just blend whatever fruit I have for him. He loves it because it's sweet!

- He has starting to walk 1-2 small steps unsupported, ie from one table to another table/chair.

- He has 3 teeth as of now, 2 bottom (can be seen) and 1 at the top (can feel)

- Ever since I weaned him off from breast, on the 1st night he got up around 5+am for milk. 1st night, I made formula for him, he didn't want to drink. Then hubby reminded me feeding water (like Ern) instead of milk. I tried on 2nd night. After 5th nights, he stopped waking up and whining.

- He is able to do the "butt down" when he wants to get down from bed/sofa.

- He is able to lift up his hand and do the "open-close his finger" when he wants to call us.

- He is able to recognize and turned his face towards the object when we mentioned the word: bird, fan, aircon, ABC Chart

- He is a light sleeper. Any sound will wake him up. So he hardly sleep long with his Che Che around. Every Monday when I send him to his nanny, he will sleep very long to 'recover".

- He is starting to 'fight for toys' with his che che.

Stand Unsupported

This is the 'best' photo that I can take on Sean, stands unsupported, with a smile and clear picture.

My mum is standing at the back, with one hand getting ready to grap him, in case he loose his balance and fall!

First Trip to the Beach

We just brought him for a breeze walk by the beach, no sand play because I haven't got him a swim trucks! Also, this boy is in the phase of 'put everything onto the mouth'. So, kinda tricky to let him play on the sand.

Head over here to read more on Che Che's beach experience.
