We Are Truly The Khoos

Both Ern and Sean borned without their double eye-lid being seen even both hubby and I had that. So genetically, they should have it.

So after 2-3 months, the double eye lid started to be seen on both kiddo BUT both started with their left eye. Funny huh!

Ern at 3 month:

Sean at 2+ month:

After a while, the double eye lid appeared on both eyes:

Playing Saliva

Oh dear, my little boy is into the phase of 'playing saliva'. Most of the time when he is awake, he will blow bubbles out from his mouth.

According to the old wife's tale, when your baby started to 'play saliva', means the mother will start to drop her hair. LOL

Actually, it is normal to lose hair after delivery as our hormones started to settle down, which is around 12 weeks after delivery. Read more from here.

Hmm...I didn't notice that...Perhaps should start to watch out if this is really true!

The Cutie Pie

Personally, I like this photo. Sean looked cute and 'sexy' (ops) in this picture. LOL!

If He Doesn't Sleep

If he doesn't sleep, he moves non stop like the clip above for 2+ hours or less. The next thing you hear is his screaming as he is asking for milk!

Hungry, you bet. Cannot blame him to drink milk less than 3 hours since he moves so much!!!

Right now, if he can't hear any 'human talking sound', he would scream his lung out until someone talk to him.

Yes, my boy wants us to sembang with him..at times, he even 'replied' by saying 'er er er' and threw us a big grin.

My Sun Bathing

This is how we sun bath the boy. He doesn't like us putting cloth to cover his eyes and he moves a lot. So, that's the best way that we discovered that can keep him stay longer under the sun although it's always HOT. Poor baby, what to do??!! Luckily he is a boy and it's ok to look tanned! *grin*

Yes, Sean is still not recover from breast milk jaundice although the reading is dropping. It dropped slowly, like 10+ per week. Nevertheless, we did a test (by letting him drink formula for 72hours) and confirmed his jaundice is caused by breast milk. So, nothing to be alarmed at this moment because it may take up to 3-4 months to him to recover.

If we fed him fully before the sun bathing session, most of the time he can sleep for 1 hour even under the hot sun. *phew* If he doesn't go into sleep, then susah lah...the most he can tahan is like < 20mins..which is ok already.

Crying Baby

Sean is a crying baby, at least to us. He can cry until almost lost his voice :-(

Almost round the clock we get to hear him crying, except when he is deep asleep or feed *grin*

At times, we nearly lost our patience on him as his cry really drive us to the wall. Haha...

Infant Acid Reflux

Sean split milk almost every feeding unless he fell into sleep right after the feed. Well, he has infant acid reflux, which is commonly known has colic or heartburn.

It happened right after each feeding and when we burp him, he would split up milk. If he doesn't fall asleep after feeding, he would curl up both his legs just like the sit-up position, then he would split milk again. So, you can imagine the clothes we need to change on him throughout the whole day. The highest record is changing 5 clothes in one feeding!

He would cry and arch his back when he is about to burp, guess the gas in his tummy is pushing up through the throat. Because, he farted a lot! :-)

Luckily I have lots of hand down clothes from Evan's Mummy and Kelvin/Kaithlyn Mummy's. If not, surely need to get more for Sean :-(

Well, we have discussed this with his PD and we were assured nothing to worry about since Sean is gaining weight and growing well. It will go away as baby grow older. True enough we are seeing improvement lately as we are seeing him splitting lesser milk. He made lesser stretching and loud throat sounds lately. *grin*

Black & White

The darker skin is Sean's tiny leg while the fair skin is my hand.
You can imagine how tanned Sean is by now. Obviously we didn't take Sean to beach for any sun bath or swim. *grin*
Sean is still down with breast milk jaundice, longer than we thought :-( Poor baby, both my children had pro-long breast milk jaundice.
On a bright side, he is gaining weight and thus, nothing alarming but just need to continue the daily sun bath.
At times, Mummy has to 'bath' with Sean when he is cranky. I tell you, it's HOT!!!!

"Standing" Hair.

Che Che has this bunch of 'standing hair' from Month 3 to Month 6.

Sean has this in Month 2. I didn't gel it, they just 'stand up' as if being gel to look punky!

They just "stand up' naturally. One thing for sure, Che Che has more hair compare to Sean. :-)

Look Alike

Finally, I found pictures of Ern and Sean look alike.

That's the photo taken (paid one, ok!) at the hospital , where they were taken on Day 2, right after their 7am morning shower. I purposely choose the same frame with difference on the wordings & color.

While the old wive tales said baby is not suppose to be showed too early to avoid catching cold, I think our grandparents will pengsan if they got to know their great grandchild is shower at 7am! *grin*

Increase Milk Consumption in Week 6

Sean turned 6-weeks-old last week. We have noticed his milk consumption had increased and shorter in his feeding interval.

I have read somewhere (sorry didn't keep the link) there will be growth spurts when baby turns 6 weeks old.

True enough on Sean. Out of sudden, he consumed more! He was able to empty one side of the McB or when we feed him EMB via bottle, the interval has shorten from 3 to 2 hours (or shorter). When it is less than 2 hours, we fed water or sooth him on pacifier.

Yes, I have introduced water and pacifier to Sean. Well, water is not necessary for an breastfed exclusive baby but we wanted to train Sean to drink water since young just like his Che Che. Pacifier comes in as a 'good helper' to train the little fella not to be cuddled to sleep or treat Mummy's McB as pacifier :-)
